FEP (GO and AO)

 FEP (Freshmen Enrichment Program) is a program for new college students in Binus University and for this year is for "Binusian 2017". Why Binusian 2017? Because all college students in Binus are called Binusian and we're intended to graduate in 2017. FEP program divided into 3 sessions, first is GO, second is AO and the last is CLO(Campus Life Orientation). this FEP program will run for 1 semester and BC(Buddy Coordinator) will accompany us during this program.

Now, let's start with GO. What is GO?? GO or General orientation is the first session of FEP (Freshmen Enrichment Program) activities. For one week, every new college students at Binus University must follow this GO activity. During my participation at GO, I have found a lot of new friends from another country and also kind BC (Buddy Coordinator) too. Our BC in my class, DBN04, is so care with us, their Buddy. They are :

They always asks us not to eat late, don't forget to bring our Binusian Flazz card, to be careful when we walk in the street, and many more. There's a lot of exciting activities in this GO session. We're learn together to sing our Binus and Binusian Mars, dance the Binusian 2017 yel and make our own class yel. During that one week at GO activity, I got a lot of new experience such as I must tapping my Binusian Flazz card everytime I entered the class, had so many classmates (about 60 person in one classroom), learned about rules in Binus university using English, knowing my goal in life, search for UKM that I want to join, and the most important thing I have learn is that I must be friendly to people, be the first to act, don't wait for another people to act first and don't be affraid to ask something if I don't understand.
Second session of FEP is AO (Academic Orientation). This AO session will be held for 2 weeks. In this AO session we, every new college students are being introduced to the lesson that we'll facing in our classes at college so we won't be shock when we faced it later. At this session I got 2 new BC, they are Jessica Banna and Julius Tanuwijaya. In this AO session, I'm being separated with my friends at GO session. Now I'm in 01PCT with another 24 person and we got new BCs too. In this AO session, we meet and being teach with lectures. This session make me know more about things that I must learn in college, such as Algorithm and I hope with this session I'll gain a lot of new experiences and gain my knowledge about Computer Sciene so I won't be shocked when I enter the class later.

For the conclusion, I think this FEP program is very good for us, new college students, because it make us know more about our own university and there's no such thing as bullying, senior and junior but we all are brothers and sisters who helping each other. I want to say thank you for all people that work for this FEP program, especially for all BC that kindly help us during this program. because of us, all BC are sacrifice their holiday just to accompany us and teach us many things.
